Meet Miss Eleanor vom Höheren Boden
Miss Eleanor reminds me of a sweet and salty candy bar. She is as sweet as honey on birds and around the house but as fierce of a female on fur as I've ever seen! I remember her first coon encounter we were bird hunting near home, she was 8 months old. I was afraid she was too young for that kind of an encounter, but she wouldn't quit. Seeing her in action during a coyote encounter made me decide she fights fur like a male and is big enough to handle it! She exhibits nice manners behind game, honors other dogs, and loves the water! She is also a fun dog to track behind. She goes about it slow and steady and with confidence. Our first recovery with Eleanor was a double drop tine that had been shot around 24 hours prior to recovery. We were on the track when she suddenly took a hard right. She was young, but I trusted her and sure enough there was the deer, she had air scented the deer from around 60 yds and took a short cut to it. It was a really nice drop tine buck.
Eleanor draws people in with her charm and fuzzy face. I hear all the time " Rhonda I love all your dogs, but Eleanor is my favorite! "
Eleanor is very protective of her family and home, but quickly changes to the friendly door greeter after she knows they meet our approval.
Around the house Eleanor is as easy as they come. She is the laid-back lap dog that loves to cuddle!
Something I can't show you about Eleanor is her lineage... I have had the privilege of owning her Mother Miss Tilli, spending time with her Grand Mother AND Great Grand Mother.... I know and have spent time with one of Grand Fathers and what kind of dogs he produces, I know and spent time with her Father, which is why I bred to him. Eleanor comes from a long line of great hunting dogs and is in our breeding program for a very good reason!
