H Litter vom Höheren Boden born March 2021
Tilli vom Eisbärteich and Vitus vom Entenmoor
H Litter vom Höheren Boden
Two females and three males all went to their happy hunting homes in early summer 2021. I've had a lot of great feed back from their first season 21/22. They were all very bold and determined puppies! A joy to raise!
We had one male we kept a couple weeks longer than the others, and at 9 weeks he was showing tracking ability that made me drop my jaw! I laid a bloody squirrel drag for him, put him on it and he did a nice little track. After it was all over he, like most puppies who had a successful track would track it a few more times. What was jaw dropping was 24 hours later, he encountered the track and started running it again. Vitus's excellent tracking ability is why I bred Tilli to Vitus! My goal was not only to produce well rounded upland and water dogs, but I wanted to add Vitus's excellent tracking ability to enhance every track they were asked to run. All my dogs can and do track. Vitus not only tracks, but he tracks with confidence and sticks to a track like a magnet to metal! He and his puppies have an intense focus on a track simply will not quit! This use of nose/tracking is what is needed in the field, in the water, and in the forest! We will be utilizing Vitus vom Entenmoor again in Spring of 2022 with Peach for our I Litter.
Thank you to all who sent me the wonderful updates of your first season with these puppies! Feed back is how we as breeders know if our plans were successful!
